About Us

 A brain injury can instantly change your life. The brain is fragile and once it is damaged, there can be devastating consequences.

WELCOME to the Headway North London blog. Headway North London (HWNL) is a registered charity offering  support to those with, or affected by, brain injury;  including survivors, carers, family and friends. 

We provide a number of support services and campaign for greater awareness of brain injury. HWNL covers all of north London (UK) including Camden, Islington, Westminster, Barnet, Brent, Enfield and Haringey and all are welcome.

Our aims are

•  To support those affected by brain injury  - including those who have suffered and survived a brain injury, their families, friends and carers  and any related professional service providers. We aim to do this by providing access to information, signposting to relevant services and by offering a range of support services, educational  and social opportunities through our meetings and activities programmes. 

•  To advance the education of the public in all aspects relating to brain injury and its prevention. We aim to do this though the practical programmes we offer, the work we do in the community and through our periodic publications. We are now expanding into social media and hope that this will help us to spread the word.

How to find us

 Headway North London does not have a single base for meetings and events, instead we hold our regular meetings at several venues across north London.
